Tough Days

Some of you might know this, but most of you probably don't. For the past several years I have suffered from anxiety. If you've never had this problem, I pray you never do. It is often unbearable, suffocating, miserable. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My biggest thing is social anxiety. I have the hardest time making friends and opening up to anyone can be extremely difficult for me. I sometimes even have a tough time talking to my very best friend and I'm so blessed that she understands me completely and knows that sometimes I just need some time to myself. It may seem super cheesy and cliche, but this little bundle of joy has made even my darkest days seem a little bit brighter. Most days he's a pain, but when I wake up in the morning and when I get home from work his precious little face greets me at the top of the stairs and lifts my mood just like that. Anxiety is an awful feeling that can consume my every waking thought if I let it. It's important to find something or someone that you can anchor yourself to. For me, that's Tucker Ray. He hates storms, he has anxieties of his own, he's scared of his own shadow, he only likes to cuddle for about 2 minutes and then he's done, he doesn't like to be held, he thinks he's entitled to every piece of food in my hand, and he drives me crazy. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. It's the little things in life, often overlooked, that can make a world of difference in your day.
